Register online by August 1st for the next sitting of ICO Examinations taking place October 31st, 2022. For the past 26 years, ICO Examinations have helped more than 60,000 ophthalmologists in 84 countries further their careers and meet the requirements to practice ophthalmology.
Candidates who complete the first three ICO Standard Examinations—Visual Science; Optics, Refraction, and Instruments; and Clinical Ophthalmology—are eligible to take the Advanced Examination to qualify for the prestigious and highly recognised Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO) designation.
The ICO Examinations also provide a pathway to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG). Those who pass the ICO Standard Examinations are eligible to apply to sit a final clinical FRCS Ophthalmology Examination.
